上海印刷博物馆于1998年落成。是首批上海高校民族文化博物馆之一，上海工业旅游博物馆之一，也是上海市爱国主义教育基地和科普教育基地。展馆面积近1000平方米，分为《印刷术的起源、发展与外传》、《近代印刷术的传入与发展》、《上海印刷工业》、《印刷体验》与《印刷精品展示》5个部分。通过大量文物、文献资料、实物模型及模拟操作、数字影像等方式，生动展示博大精深的印刷文化，传承古老灿烂的印刷文明，体验现代印刷技术发展。

Shanghai Printing Museum was completed in 1998. The museum has become one of first folk culture museums seated in universities and colleges in Shanghai area, and was also christened Shanghai patriotism education and science popularization education base. It possess 1000 square meter exhibition area which is partitioned into five parts named “origin, development and spreading abroad of typography”, “introducing domestic and development of neoteric printing”, “printing industry in Shanghai area”, “printing experience” and “sophisticated prints show”, respectively. Shanghai Printing Museum vividly brings forth plentiful and depthful graphic arts culture, inherits ancient and gorgeous typography civilization, and allows to experience development of modern graphic communication by a lot of cultural relic, literature and data, object models and simulating operation, digital image and video, and so on.
